ILA - Individual Learning Account
If you want to take a course in English with ESOL in East Lothian, the fees are £72.00 for a 10-week term. You may be eligible for free classes using an ILA (Individual Learning Account), but there are restrictions. You can visit this website to find out if you are eligible.
ILA ACCOUNTS: You can apply on-line here for an Individual Learning Account www.ILAScotland.org.
Every year you can be given a maximum of £200 – if you are eligible – from a government scheme. The money is held in a special account for you until you go to a class. You give the tutor your special number and they get the money directly from your account.
You must register for the classes in East Lothian if it is the first time or you have not told your tutor you will be coming back.

Registering for a class in East Lothian. A tutor will talk to you and ask you to do some simple reading and writing to find out what level of English you have. You will be told which class to attend. Our classes offer SQA qualifications in ESOL.
